IMPORTANT NOTES

  1. May is one of the best times to visit NYC, with great weather and fewer tourists. Bring layered clothing and come prepared for the possibility of rain. We will be out shooting, rain or shine.

  2. Camera gear:

    • DSLR or Mirrorless camera (with Bulb setting) and lenses;

    • Fully charged battery, with spares;

    • Empty memory card, with spares;

    • Light rucksack or camera bag;

    • Tripod;

    • Remote shutter release;

    • Neutral density filters (3 stop, 6 stop, 10 stop) - suggested but not required.

  3. Bring comfortable shoes. Expect to walk 5 to 10 miles per day.

  4. This is not an introductory workshop. All attendees should be proficient in using their camera gear. Out of respect for the group, there will not be time to devote attention to individuals for learning the basics.

  5. Attendees have the individual responsibility to maintain regular big-city awareness of your surroundings – both traffic and people.

  6. Book a hotel close to Penn Station in Midtown as it is a central transport hub for subway to various parts of the city.
